Snapsportz at the Winter Dew Tour!
Snapsportz was hired to showcase our product at the first stop of the Winter Dew Tour in Breckenridge, CO. With the world's top snowboarders and skiers in attendance, thousands of compelling images were taken with the Snapsportz automated RFID system and shared.
The event was hosted from December 16-19th in Breckenridge's 1080 Terrain Park, featuring a 22ft super-pipe and world class slope style course. As part of Snapsportz event deployment schedule, camera systems were installed on different features each day to document riders' runs throughout the competition. Those images were then uploaded live to our server where they were available for viewing in near real-time.
The event highlighted not only the key features of the Snapsportz System, but demonstrated the versatility of Snapsportz's event assimilation capabilities. While capturing unique and compelling images of the best snow athletes in the world, the system remained discreet and low impact on event infrastructure.
Furthermore, by working in conjunction with Odin RFID Technologies, Snapsportz was able to demonstrate third-party hardware and software integration, and still facilitate the demands of the event.
Overall the Breckenridge Dew Tour was a huge success for Snapsportz and our partnering affiliates.
Snapsportz Teams Up with Nike 6.0!
Snapsportz teamed up with Nike 6.0 Snow North America to prove the system's unique market effectiveness for six full days at Mt. Seymour's Nike 6.0 Greatest Hits Terrain Park. One of the highlights of the deployment included the Nike 6.0 Greatest Hits Pro-Am competition. The competition celebrated Nike's snowboard park and showcased a series of hits built to replicate iconic street features in snowboard history. Snapsportz was hired to provide images for all riders to share in the user Nike 6.0 social media experience.
Nike's initiative for this deployment was threefold: to generate images of patrons for online sharing, to effectively drive traffic to the Nike 6.0 North America Snow Facebook page and to generate a significantly higher fan base.
To accomplish this, Snapsportz generated a custom Nike 6.0 skinned Facebook API embedded in Nike's Facebook page. In order to view images, patrons were directed to Nike's FB where their images were then viewable only after 'Liking' the page.
The results yielded a significant increase of Nike 6.0 'Fans' generated upon thousands of images taken, downloaded, and shared, effectively showcasing the effectiveness of Snapsportz marketing model.
Snapsportz at Brighton
Snapsportz partnered with The Truth to perform a seasonal deployment at The Truth Terrain Park at Brighton Resort, UT. In partnering with the headline sponsor of Brighton's incredible terrain features, Snapsportz was tasked in providing a maximum amount of exposure for The Truth via social media and image sharing.
This was achieved through a custom skinned site referencing the Snapsportz image database designed to The Truth's requirements. Users were then directed to their images which were also custom watermarked to the client's specifications. Snapsportz also designed a custom, wearable tag fitted to The Truth's branding that directed users to the site to retrieve their images.
The deployment consisted of camera installments three days per week over the weekends, each shooting different features in the terrain park. Also unique to this deployment were weekly night shoots that highlighted the creative photographic elements achievable with the Snapsportz system. As part of the seasonal deployment, the weatherization and durability of hardware was also exhibited.
The deployment was not only incredibly successful in generating hundreds of users and thousands of images shared, but also displayed Snapsportz ability to feature a system in a permanent environment for long-term use. Additionally, the marketing value proved incredibly effective as shown by online traffic analytics. The system generated unique site visits per user in excess of 90% viewing The Truth's promotional site, as well as repeat viewers accessing the site in similar numbers.
